Design & Remodeling Processes

The purpose of the “Initial Visit” is to see your space after speaking with you. During the “Initial Visit”, you will have the opportunity to meet the team and further discuss the scope of your project as you share the vision you have in mind. We will ask you questions to learn more about your needs and uses, design preferences, budget, and timeline in order to come up with a design that serves the space and you. We will also take measurements and photos
of your space to be used for our
design renderings and next steps
in our process.

Discovery Call

~Week 1

The discovery call is a 10-15 minute conversation that takes place once you've expressed interest in Candance & Design and we've determined you're within our service area. The goal of the call is to learn more about you and your project to determine if we will be a good fit. We will talk with you more about our process and answer any questions you may have. We will discuss with you the scope of your project, including your budget and timeline. We will also schedule your Initial Visit (free consultation) for us to meet you and see your space.

Initial Visit

~Week 2

The purpose of the initial visit is to see your space. During the visit, you will have the opportunity to meet Candy and further discuss the scope of your project as you share the vision you have in mind. She will ask you questions to learn more about your needs and uses, design preferences, budget, and timeline in order to come up with a design that best serves the space and you. If you choose to move forward with our design and estimating services, we will also take measurements and photos of your space to be used for the next steps in our process.

Design Review

~Week 3

The design review takes place after we've had a chance to meet with you and become acquainted with your space. Our team gets to work behind the scenes to create a customized design plan that matches your goals and expectations that were discussed in our previous meeting. We will meet with you once the plans are complete for you to review, which includes 3D renderings of your space before and after. During this time, you will have the opportunity to work with us to make changes and create the perfect design for your space.

Subcontractor Visit

~Week 4

The subcontractor visit occurs once you've confirmed the design plan for your space. Our team will work with you to coordinate a time for us to invite all applicable subcontractors that we partner with to see your space (countertops, demo & framing, drywall, electrical, finish carpentry, flooring, HVAC, painting, tile installation, etc.) We will use this time to explain to the subcontractors the intricacies of your design plan. The subcontractors will be able to take notes and ask any questions they may have to accurately estimate your project.

Proposal

~Week 5

The proposal is the the final step in our estimation process. Once we've received estimates from all applicable subcontractors for your project, we work behind the scenes to compile a straight-forward and comprehensive proposal. The proposal is an overview of the plan for your project including: scope of project, exclusions, payment schedule, project schedule, allowances, as well as terms and conditions of the contract. You have one week from the day of your proposal to decide whether or not to sign and move forward with your proposal.
